Running the import
Export from your current tool, then upload the archive or CSV and map columns to fields. A dry run shows exactly what will be created before anything is written.
- 1Export posts, votes, comments and users from your existing tool.
- 2In Looph, open Settings, then Import.
- 3Upload the file and map statuses and categories.
- 4Run the dry run, review the summary, then import.
Keep old links working
The importer records each source URL against the new post. Publish the generated redirect map on your old domain and existing links, bookmarks and search results keep resolving.
Cutover checklist
Import, verify vote counts on your ten busiest posts, point your in-app links at the new board, set the old tool to read-only for two weeks, then cancel.
